【影片摘譯】Kip McKean 公開回應 ICOC/ICC 涉訟之相關報導

　　2023年4月20日，Kip McKean 於雪梨國際基督教會（Sydney International Christian Church, SICC）舉辦的一場「奇蹟領導力 - 澳中宣教會議教會建造者工作坊」（Miraculous Leadership - Austral-China Missions Conference Church Builders Workshop）中，公開對 ICOC/ICC 涉訟之相關報導（《滾石》雜誌），做出回應（詳見影片8:14-10:54）：

　　I know, it's kind of interesting. At the beginning of this, “The Year of Miracles”, an article came out in Rolling Stone magazine. And it's about all of us. It was called “Not Your Church Next Door”. That's true, I don’t know about you… And I think it really took back a lot of Disciples. I got questions even today. “Bro, did we do something wrong? What’s going on? I mean court, I mean all this…” I said, “Now, bro. Let's think about scriptures.”

　　Persecution always starts because it disturbs people. There's name calling: “cult”, “brainwashed”, “love bomb”. There are threats. And you’re taken to court. Taken to court! Yeah, you remember? Jesus was taken to court. Peter, John right here were taken to court. One chapter later, all the Apostles are in court. In Acts 24:26 Paul's in court before Felix Festus and King Agrippa and Bernice. It's just outside the realm of our experience because we've never been involved in true Christianity. You've never been involved in “Not Your Church Next Door.”

　　You see, we are on the verge of a new vista. Paul wrote in Colossians 1:23 that his gospel - he was possessive of it - I hope you're possessive - that his gospel had been proclaimed to every creature under heaven. Now that proclamation was not done because he had a bunch of great sermons and the other guys did too. It got to every creature under heaven because of persecution! And think about what these people have done with all these articles. They are helping us to realize our dream of this generation, so that every nation can hear about the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Does that fire you on up or not?

　　Say, why take God's Church to court? Because the world wants to justify its persecution by the law.

　　我知道這有點意思。在「奇蹟之年」（註：即2023年）開始的時候， 《滾石》雜誌發表了一篇文章，是關於我們所有人的，標題是〈不是你隔壁的那間教會〉。這是真的，我不知道你怎麼想⋯⋯我覺得這真的讓很多門徒們回過神來。直到今天，我還收到一些問題：「弟兄，我們做錯什麼了嗎？怎麼了？我是說法庭訴訟⋯⋯我是說所有這些⋯⋯」我說：「弟兄，讓我們來思想經文。」 

　　總是因為經文使人們感到不安，所以逼迫就開始了。有被罵成「邪教／膜拜團體」、「洗腦」、「愛心轟炸」的，還有威脅你會被告上法庭。告上法庭！是啊，你還記得嗎？耶穌被告上法庭，彼得、約翰也被帶上法庭。一章後，所有的使徒都上了法庭。使徒行傳第24-26章，保羅在腓力斯、非斯都、亞基帕王和百妮基面前出庭應訊。這超出了我們的經驗範圍，因為我們從未接觸過真正的基督信仰；你從未參與過「不是你隔壁的那間教會」。 

　　看啊，我們正處在一個新視野的邊緣。保羅在歌羅西書1:23中寫道，他的福音——他對它很有把握——我希望你也有把握——他的福音已經傳給了天下所有的生靈。他的福音被傳遍一切受造萬物，這並不是因為他有很多精彩的佈道，其他人也有。福音傳遍一切受造萬物，是因為逼迫！想想這些人在這些文章中都做了些什麼。他們在幫助我們實現對這個世代的夢想，讓每一個國家都能聽到耶穌基督真正的福音。你是否為之振奮？ 

　　為什麼要把上帝的教會告上法庭？因為世人想用法律來合理化自己的逼迫⋯⋯

簡評

　　仔細觀察可知，他所回應的，只是針對《滾石》雜誌第一篇報導文章本身的標題和幾個關鍵字標籤而已，並沒有回應該報導文章裡提及的訴訟案件實質關鍵內容（疑似教會內兒少性侵事件且教會知情後未為妥善處理；詳見本案訴狀、其中一篇新聞報導）。

　　而且，《滾石》在 2023 年 8 月又刊出了第二篇報導文章，加入更多訴訟事件以外的其他受害者陳述，也一併收錄了部分被告方的對立說法，試著讓整個事件的輪廓更加清晰。

　　進一步審視 Kip 的公開回應邏輯：他如此自比耶穌和使徒，實在令人感到有點不倫不類。耶穌和使徒們當時因為傳講真理而被控告，這並不能推論到他現在被控告，也是因為傳講真理。

　　同樣的，耶穌和使徒時代的宗教與政治權威，縱使確實以世俗法律為手段，來合理化其對教會的迫害，但這仍然不能證立「本次訴訟原告對 Kip 和 ICOC/ICC 提起司法訴訟，就是一種對教會的逼迫」的說法。兩者被控訴的內容無法類比，根本不在一個檔次。

　　反而諷刺的是，或許正是 Kip 給自己戴上了「受逼迫的被害者」面具，透過內部權力結構，力求合理化、美化自己先後一手創立之信仰系統（ICOC/ICC）裡，那些可能仍在張牙舞爪的可憎罪惡。

　　當然，相關訴訟程序還在進行中，後續發展仍待觀察；但此刻他如此回應，恐怕比沒有回應還糟。
